On December 1, our students and educators graced the auditorium at SFJAZZ Center with an inspiring presentation on the merits of Being Bilingual. Head of School Melinda Bihn kicked off the evening with four takeaways; one of which is that learning in two languages makes us nimbler thinkers and, ultimately, transforms us. Mid-November, 3rd-grade parent Maya Capur visited her son's classroom to talk about Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights celebrated every autumn. The celebration was a beautiful illustration of our diverse school community and our curiosity about the world around us.
On November 14, 93 students in grades 6-9 chose to participate in the Concours Castor—a worldwide mathematics, logic, and computer science contest offered to French schools across the globe.
