HIGH SCHOOL & 5th-8th NEWS

As the year winds down, we look to celebrate!  Thank you, high school families, for joining us at the 8th Annual Athletic Awards Night this weekend. We had a great time listening to student-athlete reflections, remembering great memories and celebrating our hard-working and impressive Jaguars.  We look forward to a fun time at the Middle School Awards Night on June 2nd.

Make sure to mark the calendar for the first day of High School Sports: August 15th.  Regardless of your season of sport, we look forward to ALL of our student-athletes meet us for the 4th Annual Athletic Leadership Retreat.  More information to come, but SAVE THE DATE FOR AUGUST 15th.  All paperwork must be in to participate on this day and all athletic activity.

 All student-athletes of all ages should look to the offseason as an opportunity to master your craft. Check out off season opportunities on our website or ask your coaches for suggestions. We want everyone coming back, even better than ever!

    SIGN UP FOR A SPORT IN 2016- 2017:

    Take the opportunity to sign up for your sports next year:
    1. Signups have been postponed.  Look for a new signup system in June. More information to come soon!

    2. Go to the NEW ATHLETE page to see more information about your sport (coaches' contact information, season start dates, team syllabi, and order gear). 

    3. Fall sports start on MONDAY, AUGUST 15th.  Student-athletes can expect a 4-6 day per week commitment when they start their sport.  ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES, regardless of season of sport, is encouraged to attend the Annual Leadership Retreat on 8/15/2016. 

    High School Open Gyms

    Join us for Open Gyms. These are optional, off-season opportunities for our student-athletes and community to get together, play, and stay in shape!  

    • Performance Lab: Tuesdays/ Thursdays after school and free periods. email Coach Mike for more information at miken@frenchamericansf.org
    • Volleyball: Fridays and Tuesdays (starting next week) 5-7pm
    • Futsal: coming soon
    • Basketball: coming soon, but expect SUMMER LEAGUE PLAY 6/11-6/13 and 6/18-6/20

    5-8th Grade Sports News

    Congratulations 7/8th Pony Baseball Team

    Our last game of the 2015-16 school year was this past weekend. The game was a huge 1-0 win for our 7/8th Boys Pony Baseball team as they captured the SFYBL Championship. Congratulations to Coachd Devin and Coach Steven and all of the families. The team went undefeated in the regular season and we can't wait to see the boys in action again for their respective teams at French American and International High School.

    June 2, 2016 - We will celebrate all of our teams and student-athletes at our 4th Annual 5-8th Grade School Sports Awards Night in the Jaguar Den from 6:00-7:30pm. RSVP Here.

    SIGN UP! 2016-2017 5-8th Grade Athletic Teams

    We offer competitive teams in all sports as well as developmental teams in sports where appropriate and when numbers permit. The more boys and girls we have signed up the more fun it is for everyone! Even if your child has not been a member of a sports team in the past it is not too late to learn a new sport and represent French American. Regardless of your skill level or knowledge of the sport we have a team that will challenge you and allow you to have fun!

    Off Season Training Opportunities

    Please make sure check out the Off Season Opportunities to further your skill development in the off season. It is very important for our 5-8th grade student-athletes to continue to work on their individual skills outside of the school season so they come back more improved each year.
