High School Students Debut at SFJAZZ as part of International Showcase
Posted 09/10/2018 01:48PM

Current and former International High School students took the stage at SFJAZZ on October 1st as part of the International Showcase. French American + International community members and perspective families alike gathered at the jazz theater to watch the biennial Showcase.

Through open discussion with educators, students highlighted the diverse, innovative, and extraordinary baccalaureate curriculum offered at International High School, emphasizing our high value on critical thinking and integration of international and intercultural perspectives.

The Showcase also included a musical performance and photo slideshow, which illustrated the variety of student experiences available at International High School, including theater, athletics, hands-on scientific experimentation, global travel, Model UN, advanced mathematics and statistical modeling, and expression through art.

"Research shows that younger children have a superior ability to learn a second language and that bilingual students tend to outperform their monolingual peers."
