David, with his wife Dominique Lahaussois, and son, Pierre-Alexander, arrived in San Francisco in 2002 for a 'temporary' stay. Twelve years later, despite a peripatetic lifestyle and a son in college 'back east', David and Dominique have become firmly rooted in San Francisco and the French American International School community. In addition to working on the French American board since 2009, David serves on the board of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and, together with Dominique, created a non-profit foundation to provide remote tutoring in math and science to at-risk middle school students (WeTeachScience.org).
David is currently Managing Director and Co-Head of North American Life Sciences at Lazard Freres and has worked as an investment banker for biotech and pharmaceutical companies at Lazard, JPMorgan and LehmanBrothers over the past twenty-five years. David graduated from Harvard College, received a masters in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
