We are called French American and International for a reason. Every year, our Middle School students get to “Experience the World” quite literally by participating in unforgettable cultural and linguistic trips and exchanges all over the globe. These unique experiences, inextricably shared and deeply personal, are full of transformative learning moments that truly embody our school’s mission and values. The trips abroad take place during the academic year and last about two weeks each.
Relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States date back to the Revolutionary war. In 1786, under Sultan Mohammed III, Morocco became the first Arabic state, the first African state, and the first Muslim state to sign a treaty with the United States. During this trip, 7th graders will not only explore this fascinating and friendly country and culture, but also be granted the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in Arabic and hone their language skills. One of the highlights will be an overnight stay in Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This Grade 7 trip will offer great exposure to the Spanish-speaking world in an exotic, but very safe environment. Students will attend daily language classes, participate in cultural excursions, and interact with local peers. Students will have the opportunity to utilize Spanish in real-life situations—including with their host families.
