Come to discover, share, and connect with our parent and alumni community– over drink and food in the informal, round-table setting of our Community Salon Series! The Community Salon Series, part of our wider Urban Engagement Program, features members of our school community, including parents and alumni, sharing their expertise and spearheading shared conversation.

While the spirit is social, not scholastic, interested high school students are welcome to attend and take part. Free childcare (with food) is available from 6-7:30 for students, PK-8th grade.

Our first Salon took place on October 16th. With an eye to the upcoming election, the evening focused on CIVIC & POLITICAL PARTICIPATION. Two parent innovators and activists led the conversation: Andrea Dew Steele, President and Founder of Emerge America and the Co-Founder of our first affiliate, Emerge California; and Mark Mullen, Founder and CEO of Be The Wave, a non-partisan, non-profit dedicated to increasing voter turnout through friend-to-friend engagement.

Save the date for future Salons, we look forward to seeing you there!
