After School Program

“Our After School Program is designed to enhance the quality of time spent on campus after school ends. Children can play, learn and create through diverse extra-curricular activities such as science, sports, arts, music and Study Hall. With the children’s well-being always in mind, we provide a stimulating and safe environment all year long.”

 Program Details

General After School Childcare

Childcare is available until 6:15 p.m. daily on Oak street and 6:00 p.m. on Page street. 

Parents sign-out electronically at the Hickory reception desk when leaving campus.

Children in the general after school program will have access to a number of activities, including: study hall, arts/crafts, library (3rd-8th grade), outdoor sports and games.

Extracurricular Classes

The After School Program also offers a number of Extracurricular Classes for children enrolled in the program. Classes include individual music lessons, sports, foreign language lessons, dance, and technology. There is an extra cost associated with our extracurricular classes (prices vary). 

Extracurricular Classes are offered for Lower and Middle School students. The classes generally are for one hour and run for nine weeks in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Study Hall

For children in grades 2 through 8, Study Hall is run by grade-level teachers and is conducted in both English and French. Students may work on homework or project-based work.

Study Hall is available:

Monday- Wednesday 2nd-4th grade 3:30-4:30.

Monday -Thursday 5th grade 3:30-4:40. 

Monday-Thursday 6th-8th grade 3:30-5:30

There are no additional costs associated with Study Hall if your child is enrolled in the After School Program.

Music & Educational Tutors

The After School Program also provides tutoring for students enrolled in the program. All tutors must be pre-approved by the school. Rates vary based on the individual tutor.
